Spring Greens Walk
Identify and harvest the first wild greens of the season — chickweed, dandelion, ramps, violet, and more.
- Where
- Tionesta, PA — Allegheny National Forest
- How long
- 3 hours
- Group size
- Up to 8 people
- What you take home
- A field guide we made, a basket of greens, and a recipe card.
What we’ll do
Meet at the trailhead for a slow morning walk through mixed hardwood forest. We will identify the easiest and most rewarding spring edibles, talk about ethical harvest, and bring home a small basket of greens for a foraged salad lunch we make together. Bring a basket, sturdy boots, and a sense of curiosity. We provide everything else.
